WHAT TO BRING
CLOTHING Casual lightweight/quick-dry clothing is recommended for the boat and excursions. You will be attending water holes and falls where you are able to swim so please don’t forget your bathers. Long pants and long sleeve tops for evenings are advisable as it gets cool at night (June-August). Barrashack is casual dining and no formal wear is required.
SHOES A pair of comfortable walking/hiking shoes with good ankle support that you don’t mind getting wet. Footwear is not mandatory on the houseboat, however can be worn if you so choose. Footwear such as thongs are a good example.
PERSONAL ITEMS You will be required to bring your own toiletries and any relevant medications and vitamins. Motion sickness preventative is also recommended to bring on board if you are concerned about getting motion sickness. A hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and soaps are supplied in the bathrooms. Sun protection and insect repellent are available on board but you may wish to bring your own. Bathroom towels are provided. In the unlikely event of an emergency we have a medical kit on board.
ACCESSORIES Barrashack is equipped with 240V electricity with each cabin having power outlets. Don’t forget your camera and any relevant chargers and/or batteries.
LUGGAGE As you will be travelling to Barrashack via seaplane we ask that you be mindful of the weight restrictions of our aircraft. We ask that you pack as light as possible, as we have an 8kg per person limit on our 4 nights cruise. Please pack your luggage in a soft bag for easy storage in the seaplane and on board Barrashack.
COMMUNICATIONS Please be aware that you will not have any mobile coverage whilst cruising along the Kimberley coast. The Barrashack however is equipped with a satellite phone which is available for emergencies. Messages to the vessel may also be relayed via the Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures office Ph: 08 9192 1172.
DRINKS Complimentary soft drinks (Sodasteram), juice as well as tea and coffee facilities with an espresso machine are available 24 hours.
FOOD A continental and cooked breakfast, fresh fruit bowl and cookies available all day, morning tea, lunch, sunset nibbles and plated dinner with dessert all included. We also cater for any dietary requirements (please advise on your booking form).
ALCOHOL As our tour is BYO, all alcohol is to be pre-ordered and paid in full 20 days prior to tour departure. You will be required to place an order with us and make the payment after we have done the order. Our staff will arrange collection and delivery of your order. No alcohol can be taken on the day of departure.
FISHING EQUIPMENT High quality fishing equipment is available for all passengers to use. Please feel free to bring your favourite lures on board.
TRAVEL INSURANCE We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance that covers you against any unforeseen circumstances. Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures and Kimberley Getaway are not responsible for any loss or damage i.e. baggage, personal items and injuries. Travel insurance will need to be arranged prior to your cruise departure.
